I must point out one thing first so bear with me. I goofed and ordered the wrong size. I got the size I thought I needed but I did not completly understand what was being measured. I pride my self on done my home work so when I realize I goofed I went to a trusted local pro shop. They helped me sort out my goof. For convience sake I bought a simular set there that was a bit more. He did say that this pair is "Every bit as good as the pair I bought." The store has had a long standing reputation for quality. If he likes it then I feel I should share that. I am not sending it back as it might fit my dad's Giant bicycle or the Specialied bicycle I am upgrading to next spring. If it doesn't hold up I will pass it on but we have the vote of a long standing pro that like them at first impressions. Take it or leave it.Update:I was right, they did fit my dad's bicycle. Good thing too as his was going bad as is. He likes them.Got these pedals at mile 347 of 700 mile tour (Richmond Va to Savannah, Ga). Had gone through two previous sets of resien pedals. Thought about getting 3 more sets of those, but decided to take a chance on these. They lasted the rest of the tour, the next 150 mile tour, and 3 years after with near daily commuting. They are Great pedals. Super grippy. Spin like a dream. That is why, I have bought a second pair to replace the ones that just broke (well didn't brake, just kept making a clicking noise). I will add to what everyone else says, watch out for the pedal bite! When they catch you in the back of the calf you may bleed. Worth it.They tore up the back of my calf when I crashed at the bmx track and I still have them on my Haro Steel Reserve 1.1 dirt jump bike that has my Azonic Outlaw green wheels and the 130 Manitou Circus Expert fork on it. I feel safer keeping them on that bike. I wrap my calves now before I ride, until I get better. I also use these on my Raleigh 7 speed comfort bike, on my Santa Cruz Superlight, and on my Salsa El Mariachi. They are great at what they do and they are dirt cheap. Make sure you glue the spikes so that you can have them for years and the spikes don't wiggle out. Just use superglue and glue both sides. These pedals really stick to your shoes!. Weighed them with my scale and they are a little heavy at 260 grams each. Install was no problem but after about 30 mins of riding I noticed a clicking noise from the right pedal when going up a hill. Took it apart and greased and re installed and it seems to have fixed the problem. The screws in the pedal are extremely sharp! Even if they barely brush your leg when getting off, you will bleed! This means they stick to your shoes like glue which is good on the trail. Great buy for 20$!!Pros- Sticky, Cost, spinCons- Weight, Sharp!, noisy when new and un adjustedBought these pedals for my son's Trek 29er, replacing the ones that originally came with bike. I had concerns about them injuring him if his feet came off the pedals. The pins are extremely sharp. But when he tried them out, he came back and stated..."I can't understand how my feet could slip off...my feet stick to these pedals like glue." He also stated the pedals "look really cool." He's extremely happy with them. Only issue I have it...they don't come with reflectors. I may decide to purchase the reflectors and install them. We'll see.I'm a couple of years into singletrack cross-country mountain biking, and I purchased these after a riding partner had mixed experiences with 'clip in' pedals. These are so amazingly better than what I had. I would advise EVO LU to print their logo on the inside edge; the top one wears off after the first ride. Now, no one can look at my bike and tell what brand pedals I'm using. That'snot great marketing. These are a must for the type trails I ride (rocks, trees, etc) for when I need to quickly save a fall by putting my foot down. An excellent and durable pedal I'd recommend to anyone who wants to keep costs down.Seriously... the best bang for the buck!! The bearings spin freely several months after purchase, the pegs are ALL still present, and the grip is still pronominal. I have literally biked past a stump before and the pedal STOPPED my bike (not a problem, bad pedal position on my part), but i was rather amazed that I could step away from my bike and it stood up by itself supported by only ONE of these pedals. I wear NIKE low-tops when I bike, and they are a perfect match for these bad boys.will definitely purchase again! While the other aspects of the pedals look good, the bearings are not sealed as claimed. Sealed bearings typically mean a standard cartridge bearing (like in skateboard wheels), not loose balls in a cup-and-cone mounting like these have. Kind of a big deal in terms of lifetime and ease of maintenance. I'll probably use them (on my daughters bike), but I'm not too impressed. Not a bad value for the price, but I was hoping for better quality.
